This clinic follows evidence based medical practice, the ever changing treatment protocols of the American College of Rheumatology and the recommendations of Integrative Medicine for lifestyle modifications of persons living with an autoimmune disease or fibromyalgia. W Richard Horn, NP is the clinic owner and health care provider. Richard is a Rheumatology Specialist and Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Arizona with over 6 years of experience treating patients in Rheumatology, having studied under the direction of his mentor, Dr. Michael Fairfax, a Rheumatologist with over twenty-five years of experience. Richard continues his association with Dr. Fairfax by assisting him with several research protocols at Arthrocare Arthritis Care and Research, P.C. He collaborates with other Rheumatologists and physicians of other specialties where indicated to develop individualized patient treatment plans that provide the best hope in reaching the target goal of disease remission.
Prior to specializing in Rheumatology, Richard worked for over nine years in emergency medicine primarily with the Indian Health Service and the University of Arizona Medical Center Emergency Department. In 2004 Richard retired from the US Air Force Medical Reserves ending a military career that began as a member of the US 3rd Marine Division.
Richard holds the following academic degrees: Master in the Science of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner, Certificate of completion from the Advanced Rheumatology post-graduate course of The American College of Rheumatology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters of Library and Information Science and Bachelor of Arts in Economics. The Universities where he studied include: The University of Maryland, University of Missouri at Kansas City, The Internal Christian University in Japan, University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri, Regents College of the State of New York and the University of Phoenix.
Kimberly Huszti RNP-C
Kimberly moved to Arizona from Michigan in 2007 to enjoy the warmer weather. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, and spent over 10 years working as a registered nurse in labor & delivery and post partum before earning her Master’s in Nursing from University of Phoenix. She will be collaborating with W Richard Horn as she takes on patients with Autoimmune disorders. She is interested in improving patient lifestyle and reducing the autoimmune activity while professionally recognizing treatment approaches. In her free-time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family which includes a husband, three daughters, her Golden doodle, Sam and Schnauzer, Gracie.
