W Richard Horn, NP
W Richard Horn, NP is the clinic owner and health care provider. Richard is a Rheumatology Specialist and Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Arizona with over 6 years of experience treating patients in Rheumatology, having studied under the direction of his mentor, Dr. Michael Fairfax, a Rheumatologist with over twenty-five years of experience. Richard continues his association with Dr. Fairfax by assisting him with several research protocols at Arthrocare Arthritis Care and Research, P.C. He collaborates with other Rheumatologists and physicians of other specialties where indicated to develop individualized patient treatment plans that provide the best hope in reaching the target goal of disease remission.
Prior to specializing in Rheumatology, Richard worked for over nine years in emergency medicine primarily with the Indian Health Service and the University of Arizona Medical Center Emergency Department. In 2004 Richard retired from the US Air Force Medical Reserves ending a military career that began as a member of the US 3rd Marine Division.
Richard holds the following academic degrees: Master in the Science of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner, Certificate of completion from the Advanced Rheumatology post-graduate course of The American College of Rheumatology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters of Library and Information Science and Bachelor of Arts in Economics. The Universities where he studied include: The University of Maryland, University of Missouri at Kansas City, The Internal Christian University in Japan, University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri, Regents College of the State of New York and the University of Phoenix.
P. Peter Hennis, NP
Peter Hennis is a Rheumatology Specialist and Practitioner in Gilbert, Arizona. He received his practitioner degree from Case Western Reserve University at which time he received William Randolph Hearst Scholarship, for his passion and determination in serving the adult and geriatric communities. Peter has worked in the Medical and Neurological Intensive Care Unit and Neurosurgical Unit prior to pursing his career as a practitioner.
Peter currently specializes in Rheumatology, in which he received his training and certification through American College of Rheumatology. He provides care to patients who are suffering from a variety of rheumatologic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, mixed connective tissue diseases, Sjogren’s syndrome, psoriasis, gout and more. His ultimate mission is to help patients regain their functionality and educate patient about managing their autoimmune diseases naturally by lifestyle changes, which can be difficulty. Peter’s approach has always been the holistic approach and to treat patients with respect and dignity.
Each patient presents differently and has a different story. During COVID pandemic, many of our patients are dealing with a surge of inflammation and pain that has been detrimental to their daily lives. Patients have suffered a great loss and are dealing with physical and mental health issues. Peter loves music, hiking, traveling, and being with friends and family.
